The third annual Asian Sky Forum, held in Bangkok, Thailand, proved again to be a pivotal event for the business aviation sector, bringing together more than 300 industry professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region. Held from June 24 to 26, 2025, the forum featured a packed agenda filled with two days of insightful discussions and panels, as well as three days of networking and evening drinks.
The event kicked off with welcoming remarks from Asian Sky Group’s Vice Chairman, Jeffrey C. Lowe. Following the introduction, Asian Sky Group’s Consultancy Services Director, Dennis Lau gave a presentation on the status of business aviation in Thailand, and the significant developments in the country’s business aviation landscape with data from Asian Sky Group’s Business Jet Fleet Report YE 2024.
Panels included discussions on “Indochina Dynamics”, which explored the immense growth potential across Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, with insights from industry leaders on infrastructure developments, ownership trends, and how the political landscape is affecting the sector. Furthermore, with offshore registries becoming increasingly popular over the past few years, representatives from The Registry of Aruba, San Marino Aircraft Registry, and Bermuda Aircraft Registry sat down and discussed the reasons behind this trend and the benefits for aircraft operators.

Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), shed some light on the intricacies of aviation in Thailand by providing an overview of the country’s aviation sector. Following this, a dynamic Q&A session moderated by Jeffrey C. Lowe, joined again by Air Chief Marshal Chavanaprayoon and Natthapatr Sibunruang, MJets, tackled burning questions about the aviation sector in Thailand. Questions poured in, reflecting the audience’s keen interest in understanding how Thailand is positioning itself as a hub for aviation in Southeast Asia.
The key moment of the event was a fireside chat with the visionary of Thai business aviation, William Heinecke, founder of MJets. With nearly 60 years of experience, Heinecke shared his entrepreneurial journey and discussed the evolution of business aviation in Thailand.
Tom Phillips, Gogo, discussed the future of connectivity in the aviation landscape and explored how the industry has adapted to technological advancements. Following that, Phillipe Duchateau, Dassault Aviation, gave a presentation outlining how the company applies the technology from its fighter jets to its Falcon business jets. Lastly, Airbus Corporate Jets connected live with their ACJ TwoTwenty Creative Studio in Toulouse. The live interaction provided attendees with a unique glimpse into the creative processes behind Airbus’ cutting-edge designs.
In a rapidly evolving aviation landscape, the way clients book charter flights and how operators execute these services is undergoing significant transformation. The panel “(Un)chartered Territories” brought together speakers from Asian Sky Group, Avinode Group, JETSET, and Vista to explore this evolution, addressing both the challenges and opportunities facing charter companies in the region.
There were three days of networking receptions, with the first drinks reception hosted by Rolls-Royce. The first day of the forum ended with the Unseen Party hosted by MJets at the River Club, with attendees coming together to celebrate and network. The evening featured unlimited drinks, and a stunning fireworks display by the riverside. The forum wrapped up a highly successful two-day conference, with AsBAA’s cocktail evening held at the Longtail Bar.
